SA125 1/4" Piecing Foot

For quilt and patchwork piecing with 1/4" or 1/8" seam allowances. Using the center needle, straight stitch position, the right front edge of this foot provides a guide for creating even ¼-inch seams for quilts, doll clothes and heirloom sewing projects. When using the left side of the foot as a guide, an 1/8-inch seam is created.

SA198 Adjustable Binder Foot

This foot has clear plastic bias tape guide. By adjusting this guide, users can sew various width bias tape from ¼” to ¾” (5mm to 20mm).

SA193 Candlewicking Foot

Add a beautiful, decorative touch resembling handsewn ‘knotted’ candlewicking to embellish pillows, table linens, bed linens, and clothing, or to stitch down appliqué shapes or ribbons. This candlewicking foot has a specially formed, deep tunnel on the underside, which allows the raised candlewicking stitches to pass under the foot easily, and helps prevent unwanted pressure on your finished stitches. Ideal not only for candlewicking stitches, but for other raised or 3-dimensional stitches, and for sewing with heavier cotton threads. For Use With: BC1000, CE4000, CE5000PRW, CE5500PRW, CE8080PRW, CP6500, CP7500, CS80, CS100T, CS5055PRW, CS6000i, CS8150, CS8060, CS6000T, CS8072, Duetta® 4500D, ES2000, EX660, HE120, HS1000, Innov-ís 40,

SA129 Free Motion Foot, clear

This clear plastic foot raises and lowers with the needle to allow fabric to be moved between stitches and to hold fabric in place while stitches are created. Screw on clear plastic foot has markings for easy reference. Requires Low Shank Adapter for ULT/PC series. Also known as a Darning Foot and may be used as a free motion foot.

SA194 Pin Tuck Foot, 5-groove

This 5-groove pin tuck foot, when used with a twin needle, helps you to make virtually perfect pin tucks, and is also perfect for sewing corded pin tucks on shirts, blouses and many home decorating projects. This foot is ideal when making pin tucks with slightly larger intervals, and for more prominent tucks on medium-weight fabrics. Not recommended for use with firm or thick fabrics. For Use With: PC-8500D, PC-6500, SE-270D, NX-200, XL-2230, NX-400, NX-400Q, NX-600, PS-1000, PS-1250, PS-3100, LS-2125i, XL-2610, XL-2600, XL-5500, XL-5600, XL-5700, XL-6452, XL-3510, XL-3500T, XR-65T, XL-6562, CS-80, CS-8060, CS-8150, ES-2000, CS-6000T, XL-5130, XL-5340, XR-33, XR-40, CS-100T, CS-6000, CS-8072, ES-2000T, Innov-ís 1000, Innov-ís 4000D, LS-

SA132 Quilting Guide

The adjustable guide can be used to sew parallel rows at preset even intervals. Slide straight bar into the hole of the presser foot ankle or walking foot (equipped with a mounting hole). The distance from the needle may be adjusted by sliding the guide from left to right.

SA190 Roller Foot

Perfect for sewing on vinyl, velvet, suede and leather fabrics. The dual rollers on this 7mm snap-on foot help provide for more accurate and consistent sewing, as the rollers work in tandem with the machine feed dogs to pull the fabric through, for a more consistent fabric surface. This foot has a wide needle opening, allowing for a range of stitch widths.

SA140 Walking Foot, 7mm

The walking foot is a moving feed system that holds and moves fabric between the presser foot's upper feed dog and the machine's lower feed dogs to better control difficult fabrics as well as multiple layers of fabric. The walking foot is great for sewing when matching prints or plaids or when fabric drift is an issue or quilting.

Brother® offers several Walking Feet which differ for the width of the feed dogs, shank height, etc. Please check your manual or the machine listings on this website to find the correct Walking Foot to fit your machine. Walking Feet are not for use in reverse or side to side sewing as well as some built-in stitches that include other than forward movement of the feed dogs.

SA156 Bobbins, clear plastic, 10-pack, 11.5 size

High Quality Clear Plastic Bobbins, 7/16" deep. Security notch for consistent bobbin thread winding. 10 bobbins per pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good value I have used this machine for a few months now. It has been a good machine to quilt on. I haven't used many of the stitches it offers, but the manual is very helpful in finding the proper stitch for the project you're working on. It's a little noisier than I thought it would be, but has worked well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great first sewing machine Great first time sewing machine. I've never used a manual machine so having the luxury of digital is pretty awesome. Ive made two pairs of pants and a tunic so far since purchasing in January. I am teaching myself. I would recommend this machine to a novice to experienced seamstresses.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Christmas present a keeper Having expensive, heavy machines over the past 60+ years of sewing, I was reluctant to purchase my Brothers at such a low affordable costs fearing it would not hold up to my skills and would fall apart. Much to my delight, it has been so much fun to use all the decorative stitches (that I did not have on my other machines) enhancing my creativity and pure joy of sewing almost everyday since its purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wonderful machine I am just getting back into sewing and I have thoroughly enjoyed this machine. It took me a lot of practice to learn to use the quilting free form foot but it's going well and I'm hooked on machine quilting. I gave it 4 stars only because I was disappointed that the fonts are larger.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for costumers I was given this sewing machine for my birthday. I haven't used a sewing machine in years and really missed it. As an actor at our local Renaissance Faire, there is always a need for a reliable sewing machine. It's much more rewarding to make my own costumes rather than paying someone else to do so. I've owned other sewing machines but this one out performs the other brands I've used. The zigzag/serger stitch is so easy to use and my finished seams look so professional. I haven't used the monogram stitch yet but thats next on my list. This machine is easy to setup and I just LOVE the needle threading function ... no more trying to feed the end of the thread into the needle eye (and missing multiple times before actually findind that teeny hole)!!! I watched the DVD to learn how to thread the bobbin and upper threading. It was easy. Changing feet for different stitches is easy to. In fact, nothing has been difficult at all. I recommend this machine for both beginners and advanced users. I've been drafting my own patterns and sewing Elizabethan and Tudor costumes since 1988, when I started working Renaissance Faires. I am most pleased with my gift!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite Brother yet! I have had several Brother machines in the past and liked them very much. But I absolutely love my new SM8270. It is very easy to use the many fancy stitches and it sews smoothly and quietly. I started learning to make quilts, that's why I decided on this machine. It was very affordable and came with all the extra foot attachments I will ever need. I would definitely buy it again and would recommend it to anyone learning to quilt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very happy with my new machine This machine is a big upgrade to my old thirty five year plus Kenmore sewing machine. The DVD and printed material makes it very easy to learn all the wonderful features of the machine. The machine itself has very helpful visual markings to guide in threading and other functions. Another plus is that it came with so many useful accessories. I am very pleased with it and know I will enjoy using it for many sewing projects.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good machine. I love it. Would've given this 5 stars, but for the product manual. The manual was not written for a beginner, but an experienced sewer. I was able to intuitively figure out some things, others I had to go to you tube. Other than that, I love the stitch selection, the optional quilting feet, needles, etc., especially the extensive selection of presser feet. Currently making my first quilt and it's really looking great. Thank you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the money I bought this through Costco after buying a different brother that does a bit less for my granddaughter. My 25 year old Viking 1100 broke at a crucial time so I got out my granddaughter's machine and used it to finish some delicate silk work and some heavy tutu netting sewing. That little $140 machine did it all! I was so amazed. It had many of the stitches I had used on my Viking which had cost me over $2000 back in the day. They have come very far with electronics. I looked on their website and saw they had several brother machines, so I decided to get one that did slightly more and cost just slightly more money. It came with more feet, including a walking foot, which, if bought separately would have cost about as much as the difference. It comes with a nice little table with snap out feet and gives you a great, stable work surface. It is for use on top of a table as the sewing arm is quite far underneath and you won't be able to see if you drop it down into a table with a hole (such as my Viking was). But all in all I think it is great. The only drawback is that it does not automatically adjust for tension for different fabrics like my Viking did and for some reason you can't adjust the needle position to anything but center or left. no right position! strange. It is light as a feather but seems to sew anything I can throw into it, so I am not worried. The price I paid for it means I can get another machine if this one breaks. I have had it a few months now and have had no problems. My granddaughter's machine has had no problems either.
