    Best Little Sewing Machine
I got my Brother Runway Edition Innovis 40, and absolutely love it. I've had it for over 5 years and have not had any troubles at all.

    Best Machine Ever
I really like this machine, I've had it for 4 years now and would never go back to my old brand. It's computerized, and easy to operate. The owners' manual is clear and easy to understand. I like the advanced threader, though it is not push button; it's better than hand threading. I do wish that it would have push button drop feed; I use my machine with the extension table to create a larger sewing area, this makes reaching the feed drop slider button rather difficult. This machine does not ... read more require a walking foot for quilting, as it sews through nine layers of denim. If you make quilts you can use stitch # 15 for piecing; it will give you a perfect 1/4" seam allowance; you won't need a 1/4" foot. I strongly recommend attending a class on using the machine and it's features.

Has everything I need and more
There are more options to check out but so far, I find this model is exactly what I was looking for when I decided it was time for a new machine. I didn't know how much more comfortable it was to sew with the detachable table. Choosing stitches is a difficult choice at times because there are so many let alone the ability to edit and combine stitches. Once you've made some combinations, you can save them. One of the reasons I chose this one was for the sideways sewing, which is very useful.

    Dream machine
I purchased this machine after my 12 year old Brother started to show wear. It has all of the features I loved on my previous model plus new ones I didn't know I wanted! It sews like a dream and I have had comments from owners of other more expensive brands on how quiet it is. The larger bed is a plus.

    All-around Great Machine!
I have had this sewing machine for a while now and have no complaints. It was difficult for me to decide between this and the 6000i, but I went with this machine for the few extra stitches and wide table attachment and I have found this machine to be a little workhorse. I really like having the extra wide table and love how easy it is to thread. There are plenty of stitch options and lots of extra attachment feet. It is easy to use for beginners, but with all of the stitches and functions on ... read more this machine it is better suited for an intermediate/more experienced sewer. So far it has not had problems handling any fabric I have sewn, nor has it broken a needle and I sew on a daily basis. Although I have found that the even feed/walking foot (extra) is a tremendous help when sewing multiple layers or stretchy fabrics. The only thing that could possibly make this machine better would be if it included a lettering/monogram font. Overall this was a great purchase and I don't think I could have found a better machine for the price.

    My First Machine
I have been sewing for several years but have not had a machine of my own. For Christmas last year, I received this machine as a gift. I am so happy to have a machine of my own. For the most part, it is smooth running every time I turn on the machine. However, every once in a while it won't work properly. I turn off the machine and turn it back on, everything works perfectly again. This is the first computerized machine I have every used and am happy with it.

    Nice machine
This is the 3rd sewing machine that I have owned and, so far, the best. I've only had it a month - so I've used it just a few times - but it's been great. It's very light-weight and easy to carry to wherever you need it. It was very easy to learn how to start sewing. Also, it sews through any thickness I've needed it to. That was the biggest complaint I had with my previous machine, so I'm very happy to have one now that will work on thicker projects. I would give this machine an A+!

    AMAZING MACHINE!!
I purchased this machine about five years ago. I had virtually ZERO knowledge with sewing- just the basics of replacing buttons, small tears, etc. I am, however, a fairly good artist and have a good eye to design and bring my creations to life. I like to try new things and research what I do not know. SOOOOOO, after reading my manual, I began to sew, I COULD NOT believe how easy this machine is to use!! I have created so many things- JEANS, HATS, SHIRTS, SWIMSUITS!!! I am NOT KIDDING when I ... read more tell you that I had NEVER made any clothing in my life, and now I am sewing EVERYTHING I can imagine! The manual is so complete and easy to follow- the machine has a built-in help screen at your fingertips, whenever you need it. One of my favorite features is the programmable custom stitch. You can design your OWN, one-of-a-kind, design and then save it for future access! Originally, I'd bought this for hobby/personal use. NOW, I have an order from a large corporation that LOVED several of my custom designs and wanted me to make ALL of their employee gear/business gear! Pretty good for a novice, huh? LOL! Furthermore, I'd give this machine ONE-HUNDRED STARS if I could! Anyone can use this machine and create beautiful pieces. ALL you have to do is READ THE MANUAL, and be patient with yourself as you get to know your machine- it will not take long, TRUST ME! RUN, DON'T WALK! and BUY IT, BUY IT, BUY IT!!

    Great Purchase
I found my PC-420PRW on Amazon as a refurbished machine at a great price. I have had it for 18 months and use it for general sewing and quilting. The only problem is that is seems to lose its tension after doing free motion and the resetting and testing is very time consuming. But overall I still would give it an Excellent rating.

    Great travel/basic machine
I bought this machine to take with me to classes and retreats. My Brother 2400 is too big to take so need at lighter machine to take with me. I really like this machine and all it does. I only missing thing that I wish it had is the automatic foot lift when the needle is down. It does have a knee lift which works, but really miss having that automatic lift. If you are looking for a first machine this machine is what you are looking for to buy. It sews great and is the little sister to my big machine!

The machine works very well with a good instruction book. I like the larger throat and better lighting, which is mostly why I bought this Brother sewing machine. I also like the ease of changing to different stitches, auto. needle threader, and reinforcement stitch. I own 2 other older Brother sewing machines.
