    Easy to use
In spite of looking for 2 years and feeling a little intimidated, I found my new Brother DreamCreator 5100 machine very easy to use. (My beloved Viking was 38 years old and had died.) Fortunately, my dealer gives free lessons, and I have taken two so far - primarily about embroidery, which I had never attempted. So far, in 5 weeks, I have sewn several items and embroidered several more on my own. The screen instructions and brief videos are extremely helpful. Editing the embroidery is simple and ... read more self-explanatory. I am really enjoying having a wonderful new machine.

    It's a Brother
I've owned other brands of sewing machines and sergers. After I bought my first Brother 270D sewing/embroidery machine several years ago, I don't like to use any other brand. I now own two upper end sewing/embroidery machines, one for my home and the other for my vacation cabin. The DreamCreator XE VM5100 live ups to all my expectations and the Brother reputation.

    A great work horse
It's ALL about service! LeBeau sales in Ann Arbor MI is wonderful to deal with! They listened when I told them I needed a work horse. They advised me this is the machine to service my needs. They were absolutely correct. I am so glad that I choose such a reputable dealer to spend my money with. I purchased this machine September 2015 and did not have service until June 2016 with 1.1 million stitches. I drove 4 hours down with a service appointment and took my "baby" home with me 2 hours ... read more later! Thank you LeBeau!

    Wonderful VQ 2400
I had the Innovis 1000 for 5 years, and loved it. My very first Brother machine. I decided to upgrade because the VQ had more lighting, which is important. Wow, I can't believe how much difference there is in the machines. It's so quiet, more room for quilting and I love the dual feed foot. I never realized the difference in machines. And I would recommend for the serious quilter/seamstress to consider this machine.

    Intuitive
My Brother Dreamweaver XE is the best sewing machine I've ever owned. It is very intuitive from adding bobbins, threading to embroidery. I am new to machine embroidery and the machine doesn't let you make mistakes. I love the auto threader and the LED lighting is excellent. The manual is well written and explains most. I have had difficulty with optional feet, figuring out what they are for and labeling. The storage case should hold more. My Pfaff storage held multiple feet easily.

    It's a Winner!!!
This machine has done everything I have tasked it to do, and I have asked a lot of this machine in the past 7mos. of ownership. I have created at lease 30 different kinds of embroidery projects: diaper bag, purses, place mats, birthday cards, quilts, Christmas ornaments, pillows, vinyl bags of various sizes, burp cloths, adult shirts, table runners, center piece bowls, tea towel hangers incorporating two different embroidery designs. The list goes on and on. I use this machine at least 2 to 3 ... read more times a week. I love what I am able to create with it. I would suggest that you buy the 8 x 8/8 x 12 embroidery hoop/software upgrade. It will give you even more project choices, and make you an even happier embroiderer.

    great purchase
I purchased this machine 4 months ago. I love it! I have used it alone, but mostly attached to the Brother Dream Fabric Frame. It is easy to use. The price is high, but worth the money for someone committed to quilting. There are many features on this machine I have not yet used, but I am excited with the possibilities. Great machine!

    THE PERFECT SEWING/QUILTING MACHINE!
As a recent retiree I have lots more time for sewing and especially for my new passion - quilting. Unfortunately, neither my 20+ year old Baby Lock (still runs perfectly) and my new-ish SUPERB little Brother SC3000 is big enough for quilting anything larger than a table runner. So I started looking around for a larger machine. I really like the features of the SC3000 so when I found the Dreamweaver with all of the SC3000's features and many more, I was hooked and my sweet hubby bought it for ... read more me. What a MACHINE!!!! I love the convenience of the auto threader and thread cutter. The MuVit even feed foot is pure genius and works beautifully! There are so many beautiful decorative stitches including some that can be sized up & down and used like free motion quilting designs - wow! The laser, the pen, the easy-to-use display are every seamstress' and quilter's dream. And you can stuff a HUGE quilt through the large arm space! This incredible machine is quiet, solid, and heavy because so much of it is metal (durability!), and surprisingly easy to learn considering the wealth of features. I use it for quilting, decor sewing, some clothing, alterations, mending and craft sewing. It does it all and does it all well. The only thing it doesn't do is embroidery but that's not my "bag' so the Dreamweaver is perfect for me. I've been sewing for over 50 years and have never been happier with a machine.

    I am loving this machine
Your learning curve will be short. You will be doing embroidery. You won't be spending all your time troubleshooting. It stitches out beautifully. The built in designs exceeded my expectations. I have had this machine 3 months. I already have a sewing machine. You probably do too. This embroidery only machine is wonderful. It seems to like all my different name brand threads. You won't have any regrets because you will have made a good choice.

    Best Choice for Me
I may be different but I really like the Embroidery Only Machines. The main feature of this machine that while the design is stitching out, I can be sewing. My embroidery machine and my sewing machine are side by side which makes this easy to do. I updated my machine to use the 8 x8 & 8 x 12 hoops. I hope that Brother doesn't forget that there is a market for their machines that only do embroidering.
