Will Stamp Editor and printer drivers work with Mac OS X? (2001.04.28)
- A.
-
Since Mac OS X itself does NOT support serial
interface, the SC-900 does not work under Mac OS X.
Although there are third party companies such as KEYSPAN that make USB-serial converters,
the SC-900 does not work with these devices in Mac OS X.
The SC-900 can be used with Mac OS 9.1 or earlier versions.
We do not recommend upgrading to Mac OS X.

- Q.
-
What is the technology used in the Stamp Creator? How are stamps created?
- A.
-
The StampCreator uses Brother's Thermal Printing Technology to create a silk screen
image on the covering of the stamp pad. The surface of the pad is a special plastic
film, that allows the ink in the pre-inked pad behind it to flow through the image
created by StampCreator.
- Q.
-
How many impressions can I expect from a stamp?
- A.
-
Under optimum conditions, you can expect up to 2000 impressions. This will depend
on use patterns, storage conditions, temperature and humidity. Due to the nature
of the pad, you may get more impressions, but they may become lighter. Because of
problems in use and storage, Brother is unable to guarantee the number of impressions.
- Q.
-
Can the ink be refilled?
- A.
-
No. This is a pre-inked stamp which currently cannot be re-inked.
- Q.
-
Is this a rubber stamp?
- A.

No. This does not have a raised surface, requires no ink pads, and is ready to use
immediately. The ink in the stamp pads is fast drying.
