The administrator password has been forgotten and I cannot log in to the VM-100 software. What should I do?

1.    Delete the VM100DB.vmb file from the database folder


2.    For Windows 2000/XP it is stored under the following directory path.


C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Brother\VM-100.


3.    For Windows Vista/7/8 it is stored under the following directory path.




Note: This will delete all your entered data and login details.


4.    Double click the Visitor Badge Management icon on desktop. 

An error message will appear  

– Database cannot be accessed. Confirm if the path is specified correctly -


5.    Click OK; the program will prompt you to reconfigure the database path and administrator login details.


6.    Click Next for the default path of database file.


7.    Enter the User Name, Password, retype Password, and click Finish.
