How do I clear the message "No Paper"?

Description of Solution 200000027930

1. Verify the scrolling message displayed at the bottom of the LCD. This will specify which tray is experiencing the problem: MP Tray, Tray1, or Tray 2.

- If the specified tray is the tray that you trying to print from, continue to STEP 2.

- If the specified tray is NOT the tray that you are trying to print from and you are printing a document from your computer, the paper source setting will need to be changed within the settings of the application from which you are printing. Please refer to the solution – "When I try to print from Microsoft Word, I receive a message stating: No Paper or Reload paper in MP Tray. What can I do?"

2. Verify there is paper in the tray specified in the scrolling message.

- If paper is loaded in the tray, continue to STEP 3.

- If there is no paper in the tray, load the paper by following the instructions listed below:

a. While pressing the green paper-guide release levers, slide the side and back paper guides to fit the paper size. Make sure that the guides are firmly in the slots. The guides should only hold the paper in place without actually applying pressure.

b. Fan the paper well to avoid paper jams or misfeeding and then load the paper in the tray.

c. Do not overfill the tray. The maximum paper levels of Tray 1 and Tray 2 are marked on the right paper-guide with a red line with three arrows pointing at it.

d. The maximum paper level of the MP Tray is marked on the left and right paper-guides with a line with an arrow pointing at it.

4. Remove the paper tray from the machine and verify once again that the paper-guides are set to the correct positions marked on the tray for the paper size. The guides should only hold the paper in place without actually applying pressure.

5. Install the paper tray firmly back into the machine.
