1. Verify the error
message below to determine which steps to follow.
the error message was Paper Jam [Front] or [Front, Rear], continue to
If the error message was Paper Jam [Rear], continue to STEP 6.
2. Pull the paper tray (1) completely out of the machine.
3. Pull out any
jammed paper (1).
4. Look inside the
machine where the paper tray was installed and look inside the exit rollers and
remove any jammed paper or pieces of paper.
5. Reinstall the
paper tray into the machine.
6. Open the Jam Clear Cover (1) on the back of the

located on the right and left side of the cover and carefully check the left
(2) and right (3) hand corners and the center inside the machine and remove
any paper scraps that may be jammed.

10. Use your
hand to move the print head left or right to make sure there are no paper scraps
stuck under the print head.
11. Lift the
scanner cover (1) to release the lock. Gently push the scanner cover support
down (2) and close the scanner cover (3) using both hands.
error message has cleared and the LCD displays the time and menu options, go to
STEP 13 to test the machine.
Paper Jam message is displayed on the display, disconnect the machine
from the power outlet for 5 seconds and plug back into the power outlet to cycle
the power. Repeat STEPS 9 through 11 once to
make sure you didn't miss any jammed paper or scraps of paper.
Paper Jam error message continues to appear after repeating STEPS
9 - 11, go to WARRANTY AND SERVICE
other error message appears, search for the specific error and follow the
solution related to that error message.
13. Print a Print Quality Check Sheet (PQCS) to test the
Press INK on the touchscreen.
Select Test Print.
Select Print Quality.
d. Press COLOR
START. The machine will generate the Print Quality Check Sheet.
If the PQCS prints and ejects correctly with no error message on the LCD, the
issue is resolved. Press STOP/EXIT. The LCD will display the time
and Menu options.
If a Paper Jam message reappears, go to STEP
If any other error message appears, search for the solution for the message
14. Confirm the paper being used in the paper tray meets the
machine's media requirements (Check the paper packaging if
use any of the following types of paper:
curled, wrinkled or irregularly shaped paper.
shiny or highly textured paper.
that cannot be arranged uniformly when stacked.

meets the machine's media requirements, go to WARRANTY

the paper does not meet the machine's media requirements, you will need to
replace the paper with the appropriate paper.
