Examine the printed document.
If the entire page has yellow shading (all areas that should be white are
actually yellow, including the background), go to STEP 2.
If the background is normal, but there are portions of the document that are the
wrong color (areas are yellow when they should be another color), see the
colors of the printed document or image are not what I expected. It does not
match the computer screen. What can I do?"
2. Power off
the Brother machine. Open the top cover to access the toner cartridge
Always be sure to completely open the top cover of the machine before attempting
to remove or install any consumables. The top cover is completely open
when you feel it "snap" in place and does not require support from the user in
order to keep it open. Failure to completely open the cover when removing or
installing the drum unit may cause it to become stuck or damage the machine.

7. The yellow
toner may be responsible for the issue. Even if the machine is not displaying a
"Toner Low" message, it may still be causing the issue. Replacement of the toner
with a genuine Brother toner may resolve the issue.
