No good options for Photo Paper
March 4, 2015
By RobInSC from South Carolina
I wanted a color printer to use for my office, but also wanted to use it to print photos of my granddaughter, unfortunately I'm having a hard time finding suitable Photo Printer paper. Most Photo Paper is designed for Ink Jet Printers. I contacted Brother, they recommended two types of paper, both are only available in 8.5 X 11, I want 4 X 6. As a MFC printer, I'm satisfied except for the lack of Photo Paper options.

This machine is very user friendly. It meets all of our expectations. The customer service line was very helpful, we called because we did not change the toner properly and they were very helpful.

INITIAL INK CARTRIDGES WOEFUL
March 2, 2015
By JWGSTL from St. Louis
After one reem of paper, I needed to replace all the ink cartridges at an expense of roughly $400 -definately a disappointment. Scanner was diffcult to get functional, but after 30 minutes of good tech support was able to get it operating.

Overall, a very good printer, scanner, wireless unit, but the initial ink cartridges lead one to believe that the money for brother is in the cartridge business vs the equipment business.

Good so far
February 27, 2015
By MrFrostee from Ware, Ma
I've only owned this model for a short time with somewhat limited use. The functions that I have used, have worked good so far. I did, however, expect the overall machine to have less of a "plastic" feel, and to seem more durable. I'm not a fan of how the paper dispenses, a bit awkward to retrieve, but very functional. There are still a few things to figure out and try, so I can't really comment on everything.
The overall machine works well, and am happy I made the purchase.
