Brother Crafts Blogger

Intro Post

Hey everyone! For this crafting project, I thought I’d create an inspiration guide instead of my typical “How To” posts.

Over Christmas break, I was sitting in my house thinking up some fun stocking stuffer ideas. I wanted crafts that I could make fairly quickly while still having that fun, creative, and thoughtful touch. I looked down to see Alana wearing one of her favorite pairs of crazy socks when it hit me: custom socks!

I spent a couple of days looking through different ideas, and found some great downloadable files from the Brother website that I thought were perfect. The best part about creating this project? It’s as simple as finding the right design, cutting it out with your ScanNCut, and ironing your heat transfer vinyl onto your socks. BOOM! You have the perfect quick and thoughtful gift for anyone on your list!

This would be a fun gift idea for a bridal party – just choose your favorite phrases for the bridesmaids, groomsmen, bride, and groom for a cute matching accessory that’ll look adorable in those group photos! Have a wine lover in the family? Give them an easy way to ask for more wine. Feeling a little cheeky? Add a cute and sassy saying. Favorite holiday coming up? Add a cute logo or saying to show off. Don’t forget the kids’ favorite characters or hobbies! You could even use this for their sports socks and stick their jersey number on the socks!

Honestly, the possibilities for this are endless and you know your recipient will be able to use them over and over again! It’s the perfect win-win!

**If you are putting a design on the ankle of the sock, be sure not to pick a design that is wider than 2 inches and longer than 3 inches. Be sure to keep in mind the size of the bottom of the sock when deciding what font to use.
