I love paper crafting and creating one-of-a-kind cards! What better way to say thank you to someone special than with a thank you card you’ve made yourself? Today I’m happy to share a video tutorial and images from the project here. In the video, you’ll see just how easy it is to take any >SVG file and turn it into an .FCM file that your ScanNCut machine can cut! I hope you enjoyed watching the video! And here are the cards with their matching envelopes:
lacy1 I love how the purple lace pops against the yellow in the first card.
lacy2 The same design gets a totally different look when taking a monochromatic approach, using red on red in the second card.
lacy3 You can really see the lace detail in this photo and get a sense of the intricate cutting possibilities with the ScanNCut machine.
lacy4 I used a piece of washi tape to hold the card shut for this photo:
lacy5 And don’t forget to save the negatives from your cuts for use on future projects!
lacy6 As I mentioned in the video, you can leave the card as is…
lacy7 Or you can slip a contrasting color of paper into the center section.
lacy8 This can create a dramatic effect.
lacy9 I hope you enjoyed this look at making a lacy gate fold thank you card. Thanks for stopping by!
