My mom started teaching me how to sew when I was very young. I would make all my own clothes, and I also made special ‘touch and feel’ blankets for family members. In college, my parents surprised me with a Brother sewing and embroidery machine. I began making personalized gifts for all my friends and family, which eventually grew to custom requests that I was able to sell to help pay for my education.
