EPEAT® is an environmental rating and global registry program developed using a grant from the U.S. EPA and managed by the Green Electronics Council. It's a convenient resource for purchasers, manufacturers, resellers and others wanting to identify and promote environmentally preferable products.

Materials with special handling needs (4.3.3.1)
Within one year after the EPEAT-registered product is put on the market, Brother will provide reuse and recycling facilities with information about hazardous materials, their location within the product, and any special handling needs required. Brother ensures that those materials are safely and easily identifiable. Information regarding access to the recycling information regarding the models listed below can be obtained by contacting Brother Customer Support at 1-877-276-8437.
