Holiday Crafting Essentials: Creating a Festive Holiday Wreath

Create a fun, festive holiday wreath with the ScanNCut DX



With the revolutionary ScanNCut DX, creating a fun, customizable holiday wreath will add some festive personality to your holiday décor. We all know that getting ready for the holidays can be stressful, all the decorating, getting ready for friends and family – there’s a lot to do! The ScanNCut DX makes home decorating super easy! With just a few clicks of a button and some fun materials, you can be on your way to decorating a dinner table, a mantel, a front door - what ever you can imagine!



What you’ll need for this project:

• Embroidery hoop
• Green scrapbook paper
• Green Glitter scrapbook paper
• Red pom poms
• A holly leaf image to scan (can be found via the internet)
• Hot glue gun
• ScanNCut DX
• Low Tack Mat

Scan in the holly leaf outline image with the ScanNCut DX scanning mat. Crop image and then save the image to machine.



Load a low tack mat with a 12” x 12” sheet of green scrapbook paper into the ScanNCut DX. Place holly leaf cut file from the machine on paper and repeat the holly leaf all over the paper. Next, select the cutting function. Once cutting is complete, use the spatula to life the paper off, which will reveal the cut holly leaves. Repeat process with the glittery green paper.



After unloading the mat and removing the holly leaves, use a glue gun to layer the leaves on an embroidery hoop.



Create a small placard with the words ‘Happy Holidays’ and hot glue it to the bottom of the hoop. Now you have a fun, handmade wreath to add to your home!
