Crafting a Photo Album Cover

Brother Crafts Ambassador   Having your favorite pictures and memories collected in an album is always lovely. This craft will let you create your own custom photo book or scrapbook just in time for 2021! What better time is there to create a special way to preserve memories than on the cusp of a brand new year! For this project, I combined scanned images with built-in designs to create a custom photo album for a friend. Sticker vinyl is used here, but HTV (heat transfer vinyl) would work with a fabric-covered album. This is a great way to add some creativity and customization to a gift for friends and family, or as a fun project to celebrate the new year!

Supplies:

• Standard mat
• Craft (sticker) vinyl
• Transfer material
• Photo album

Tip: Measure out and sketch some rough ideas before you get started. While often ignored, this part of the creative process really helps me flesh out my ideas and sort out what might work (or not!) for my projects.

Tip: Don’t forget that weld function! On this project, I was able to add the year into an intricate design, and now my scrapbook has a subtle nod to the new year.
