I love to use my ScanNCut to cut custom stencils and masks. The ScanNCut makes it super easy to draw a design, scan it into the machine, and then cut a totally unique design, like these:
One of the really nice things about using the ScanNCut to cut out your designs is that you get both the positive (mask) and negative (stencil) of the design:
I used my stencil and masks to create this layered gelatin print:



I cut my stencil and masks from cardstock. But you could use plastic, file folders, or even plain computer paper. It's simply a matter of how durable you want the stencil and masks to be.
