Planning for a Comeback

District IT Head Mark is planning for how he can help the schools in his district get things back in order when they reopen this coming fall. At the moment, he is looking at his print solution provider. Join him as he imagines how the right setup could help.

Mark imagines using compact devices serving a smaller number of people. This decreases instruction interruptions and reduces the number of people interactions. These devices should also be packed with security features to help control access and protect student information.

Mark imagines technology that will allow him to monitor and troubleshoot devices remotely, so school staff won’t be stretched as thin. And, if he needs a replacement device, he expects it to arrive next day through the mail – avoiding contact with service technicians.

Social distancing means classes may have to occupy new spaces. Mark wants these to be properly equipped with technology that offers a simple approach. He imagines using small, but powerful, cost-effective printers to help ensure uninterrupted teaching.

Some students may still be distance learning. Mark imagines printers with scanning and sharing capabilities, making it easier to digitize and share documents. These devices offer integration with cloud-based learning platforms so remote learners can still achieve their goals.
