Intro Post

Brother Crafts Ambassador  When it comes to creating canvases and custom signs, I love abstract painting. I am no good at hand lettering or drawing specific items. What is a crafter to do? Get that Brother ScanNCut DX out and let this cutting machine help you! By combining a mix of clean white lettering cut from the Brother ScanNCut DX, and a wildly painted background, I am able to achieve a look that I love. This project will help you create a custom sign that will get notices. Note that this project will work on any size or shape wood sign, and would also work well on a canvas board or artist canvas as well. Get creative and see what crafting medium works best for you!

Tip: Want both a messy, creative looking art project as well as a crisp, clean design? Do your wild coloring and painting first, then once it’s dry add vinyl design(s)! This gives you both the sharp cuts and messier paint look, while keeping a professional look to your sign project.
