Whether it is a holiday or birthday or just some seasonal fun – the ScanNCut DX helps me to add customized detail and crafty fun to my home through both permanent and temporary décor. In this video tutorial, I will show you a few easy ways to combine the power of the ScanNCut with the fun of Mickey Mouse to make my New Year’s Eve a bit more rockin’ – without a huge investment of time. When working on party décor, I have a few tips that get big results with less time:

1. Select one or two simple designs and cut out dozens of the shape from various materials. Having a lot of designs in assorted materials cut out will mean that you can more quickly build anything from banners to having confetti for your table.



2. Think big impact. For example, a large piece for your wall will draw eyes, make a fun photo backdrop, and add a lot to your décor. While tiny detailed work is really satisfying, for a one-night-only party, more simple designs will add the wow factor without a huge investment of time.



3. Carry out the theme! Some examples include table ‘confetti,’ adding shapes to the wall as though sprinkled, adding to toothpicks to create cake or food toppers, or adding the shape to napkin ring or placemat if a more formal party. Carrying the theme and color scheme through your decorating will help bring things together.
4. Take advantage of the vinyl roll feeder and/or the 12x24 mat to create larger scale designs Finally, just have fun with it! Keep things simple or get wild and spend as much or as little time as you like.
