Livari & Brother Pop Up Shop Event!
When the opportunity to collaborate with a new, up and coming fashion label, we jumped at the chance. And when this opportunity blossomed into a pop-up shop at the famed Fashion Institute of Technology, we seized the moment.
With the hustle and bustle of New York City outside, the highly creative Livari brand and Brother Sewing hosted The Livari Fashion Alchemy Holiday Lab. This event connected the Livari ‘Give Powerfully With a Purpose’ with Brother’s “Power Your Creativity’ and made for an exciting afternoon.
What is Livari? Well, Livari is a luxury fashion line that was created with the sole purpose of empowering women. It is zero waste, women-led, women-designed and made ethically in New York. This chic, elegant brand is a partnership between award-winning actress (Orange is the New Black), environmental and feminist activist and producer Alysia Reiner, Claudine DeSola (celebrity stylist and founder of Caravan Stylist Studio), and Tabitha St. Bernard-Jacobs, famed designer of Tabii Just. Their sustainable clothing line is economically conscious yet stylish, colorful and edgy.
Brother brought along the fabulous SE600 combination sewing and embroidery machine
and the innovative ScanNCut CM350.
The SE600 has large color LCD which allows you to see your designs in color before stitching them out as well as 80 built-in designs and nine built-in fonts. These integrated designs and fonts are perfect for monogramming and personalizing holiday gifts, apparel, projects, and décor. The advanced Brother ScanNCut CM350 showed off its capabilities as well. The CM350 is what we like to call ‘the world’s first home electronic cutting machine’ due to its state-of-the-art built-in 300 DPI scanner; this which allows you to cut a wide array of fabrics and materials--everything from paper and vinyl to wood veneer and leather. This built-in scanner even enables you to reuse small scraps to complete your design, limiting waste. The Brother team had fun while they demonstrated the proficiency of the SE600 and the CM350 by creating holiday ornaments and trinkets on the spot for the fan base. In between stitches and scans and showing off the machines, they fielded questions about the brand and other fun projects.
The beautiful and sophisticated Livari line was on full display and the fashion-friendly crowd asked plenty of questions as they took in the line. Alysa, Claudine and Tabitha were all smiles as they eagerly talked about creative, materials and of course, they’re fashion approach.
The occurrence was a great success as was the follow-up event we had at the iconic Gregory Hotel in Herald Square on December 12th. We look forward to more great pop-up events with Livari soon!
