Nephi Garcia was born and raised in the Philippines. He moved to the United States in 2003. Growing up in the Philippines hindered him from fully expressing his creativity. "We were expected to show success in a much different area," he said. Though his parents expected him to pursue different things, his passion in creative never left. His grandmother taught him how to sew when he was 11, and that was when the spark started. After he married his wife, Bethanie, she helped encourage his desire to sew, and that is where Designerdaddy began. "Dressing up our wonderful children has brought us to where we are today," he said.
