Improv Log Cabin Pillow Cover
Pillow covers are a great way to bring a fresh change to your home décor. My “Improv Log Cabin Pillow Cover Tutorial” features an improvisational patchwork technique that creates a completely unique design. The pillow cover has an envelope closure, so that you can remove the insert for laundering. It’s simple to put together, which makes it a perfect project for both beginner and experienced sewers. Use your favorite color of solids to coordinate with your furnishings, or pick your favorites prints to customize your version. Be sure to click through for the rest of this post!
Don't want an Improv Log Cabin panel on your pillow front? Any Quilt block will work! Looking for something even more simple to begin with? Simply cut a plain piece of fabric for the front instead. For a 20" pillow, to use the same instructions for the Envelope Closure, cut the front piece 20.5" x 20.5" and proceed with the instructions for the Envelope Closure portion. Happy Sewing!
