National Sewing Machine Day 2018
In honor of National Sewing Machine Day, we acknowledge a machine that helps to take our creativity to new levels. Here we have a device that sews, embroiders and even quilts, on all sorts of fabrics and with all kinds of stitches. On this memorable day, we gathered together and asked several of our Brother Sews Ambassadors the following question; when you want to stitch, sew, quilt or embroider, which Brother machine do you reach for first?

Designed with high-end features at a budget-friendly price, this baby has stitched through all sorts of fabrics without a whimper, and the embroidery side of the machine is filled with delightful designs and lots of opportunities for creating customized and combined motifs.” - Joanne Banko

It is what we use most often to complete our projects. The InnovEye (better known as a camera), makes all our jobs easier. From scanning for placement to aligning stitches on the sewing side, this is my baby! I love that I can have decorative background stitching around my embroidery designs using My Design Center. There is so much about this machine, that I don’t know what to tell you is my favorite.” - Cindy Hogan

is my go-to. It offers the versatility and durability I need for the many different projects I am creating. I am able to enhance my projects with the embroidery system and several built-in designs. It's the perfect machine to bring my creative visions to life." - Laura Pifer

is my all-time favorite sewing, quilting, and embroidery machine. The huge embroidery hoop allows me to embroider an entire sleeve! I also love the scanning feature – I can scan in my logo and custom embroider my jean pockets with a few touches of a button. There are a ton of stitches to choose from; it can even sew in different directions which is ideal for sewing bag straps and belt loops. Those are just a few of my favorite features ♥” - Angela Wolf

I sew knit clothes for my kids and sewing with a serger makes making clothes so fast and easy. The finish of the seams is flawless, and the stretch of the seams is perfect for the stretch fabric I'm using. Making clothes for my kids has never been so fast and easy.” - Emily Thompson

It does a wonderful job of stitching out my applique designs. I love using the fill stitches around the applique designs; however, the biggest plus for me is the self-threading needle - I can literally change thread colors super fast! It still tickles me after all these years that all I have to do is just press a button and have the machine put the thread in the needle.” - Anna Aldmon
