New York Fashion Week with Brother Sews

New York Fashion Week marched into the West Village of Manhattan recently, and Brother Sews
had the opportunity to watch and sponsor the always exciting Nicole Miller Runway Show from the front row. We even got to tag along with Brother Sews Ambassador Laura Pifer
of Trash to Couture to take in all the fabulous looks and bass-heavy sounds. The event was filled with a who’s who of fashion bloggers and influencers, too many flashing cell phone cameras to count, and of course, the star of the evening, Nicole Miller’s beautiful Spring 2019 line. Here is what Laura had to say about the event. "This past week I had the opportunity to attend New York Fashion Week with Brother Sews
as they were a sponsor of the Nicole Miller Fashion Show. The runway show featured a cool mix of ‘80s cool’ and modern rad. Vibrant colors, prints of florals, camo, and leopard embellished with sequins mingled with embroidered bomber jackets and retro mini dresses."
Nicole stated, "My initial inspiration took root in the '80s with a club vibe. A little punk and a little new wave."
"I loved the embroidered elements she added herself with the Brother SE1900 Sewing and Embroidery Machine."
"In true designer fashion, I made my looks for the occasion using the Brother SE1900 Sewing and Embroidery Machine.
For the first look, I wanted to bring a little ‘Southern Peach’ to the Big Apple and went with a twirl-worthy floral dress with button closures down the front." "I also created a lace bell sleeve to wear during the show, one that can be removed as needed. I have several other looks you can view on my Instagram feed that I made as well." "NYFW 2018 was an inspiring experience. I left full of creativity and excitement and couldn’t wait to get back to my sewing studio. I look forward to bringing these creative visions to life with my Brother Sewing machine."
