Pete's Shirt
This ready-to-wear tee is simply embroidered with a badge appliqué warning Beware of the Dragon. Your imaginative youngster is alerting one and all that his dragon is not to be trifled with. The appliqué fabric is the same tan as is used for the shorts.
Materials and Supplies
- Brother Sewing & Embroidery Machine
- Purchased green tee
- Brother iBroidery.com PTD03 design (Beware of the Dragon)
- Embroidery thread
- Tan fabric 4” square for appliqué (same fabric used for the shorts below)
- Chalk based marker (not water soluble marker - see NOTE below)
- Stabilizer: iron-on knit fusible stabilizer 4” square
Steps to Embroider Pete's Shirt
- Mark design placement with a chalk based marker.
NOTE: A blue water soluble marker will disappear when the iron-on knit fusible stabilizer is applied with steam.
- Apply iron-on knit fusible stabilizer to inside of shirt with stretch going in opposite direction to the stretch of the shirt.
- Embroider Beware of the Dragon
Sleep Shorts
I've chosen view D, a pair of pull-on shorts with an elastic waist, to embroider the standing, powerful Elliot on to.

- Brother Sewing & Embroidery Machine
- Tan fabric yardage per size, i.e. ¾ yd for size 4 as shown
- Purchased sewing pattern Simplicity #1605
- Elastic, as per pattern instructions

- Stabilizer: SA5810 Medium Weight Tearaway
Steps to Embroider Pete's Shorts
- Cut out fabric according to pattern layout instructions.
- Hoop 2 layers of tear away stabilizer. Embroider Pete's Dragon Elliot Silhouette, PTD01, an inch or two above location of the finished hem line, depending on the size.
