My tape keeps jamming inside the machine. What should I do?Description of Solution 200000003134
1. Open the back cover and remove the cassette tape from the
machine. Ensure the end of the tape is feed under the two tape guides on the
cassette tape. If the tape is out of the guide, it will feed out in the wrong
direction. You can attempt to reinsert the tape under the tape guide.
2. Check the area by the two black rollers and the tape
exit area, remove any pieces of label or foreign object that may have stuck
inside the machine.
3. Check the installation of the Cutter unit (two yellow
plastic parts). There should be a gap about 1/16” inch between the two yellow
plastic parts for the tape to feed out. If the Cutter unit is blocking the
tape from coming out, try removing the Cutter unit and reinstalling it back into
the machine. The Cutter unit should go straight down into the machine, do
not twist the cutter when pushing it into the machine.
4. Reinstall the cassette tape and close the back cover.
Ensure the cutter lever is not jam. Press down on the cutter lever and then
release the lever. The cutter lever should move about an inch. When the
lever is release, it should spring back up to the initial position. If the
cutter level jams, your machine may require service. If not, print out a
test label. Be caution of the cutter lever, do not place your finger over it
during printing; it can cause the cutter to block the tape from coming out of
