My scanned images have black lines running through them, blank spaces, or just overall bad quality. What is the problem?

You must calibrate your scanner before use. To become familiar with your scanner read your manual.  To calibrate your scanner, refer to "How do I calibrate the DS600 scanner?" .


Occasionally, your scanner may need to be calibrated, if you begin to see image quality problems calibrate your scanner.


If calibrating you scanner did not produce a quality scan, you may need to clean your scanner, refer to "How do I perform the cleaning procedure?"


Once the scanner is clean, to get the best possible results, calibrate you scanner after cleaning.



If you still see the image quality problems, the scanner may be defective and in need of repair / replacement.


The machine has a one year limited exchange warranty. If the machine requires service, call Brother Customer Service at 1-877-276-8437 Monday through Friday, excluding holidays._
