1. Verify the paper
you are using meets the recommended paper specifications:
Use paper that is
made for plain paper copying or laser printing.
Do not use inkjet
or thermal paper.
Use paper that is
20 to 24 lb (75 to 90 g/m2).
Use paper with a
neutral Ph value; do not use acidic or alkaline paper.
Use long grain
Use paper with
moisture content of approximately 5%.

glue from label stock or another substance in the drum causing the issue. Clean
the drum unit by following the steps below:
a. Press the cover
release button on the top right side of the machine and then open the front

direct sunlight. Other types of light may also damage the drum cylinder if it is
exposed for prolonged periods.
e. Using a soft,
lint-free cloth moistened with Isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol, gently wipe across
the surface of the drum cylinder. Rotate the black gear on the far left side of
the drum cylinder. Clean each new section of the drum cylinder surface as it
rotates into view until the full circumference has been cleaned.
If a soft,
lint-free cloth is not available, we recommend using a cotton swab instead. Do
not use paper towels or facial tissues as these are likely to leave lint and
added lotions on the drum surface which may result in poor print
