Good printer
December 3, 2012
By rscopes from Mobile, AL
I have a Brother Laser MFC 8680DN at the office and needed another printer at home. I wanted the wireless feature so we all could easily connect. I had no trouble with the set up and the printer was instantly recognized by my wireless router. I am very pleased with the purchase.

Happy with purchase
December 3, 2012

Got on sale at a great price. Wireless capability is excellent and works well with Windows 7. Have printed and scanned wirelessly with no problems. Print output is great - auto duplex printing on up to 11x17. Scanned images can be sent directly to PC of your choice from printer and show up immediately on that PC (Platen glass limits original size to 8.5 x 11). Copying is great. Auto Document Feeder works fine. Have not used FAX capability.
Ink is very easy to load, lasts well and refills are available either from Brother or 3rd parties.

Negatives: Paper tray is very flimsy - needs to be treated carefully or I can foresee it breaking in the future. Cannot load thick paper stock or envelopes from back of printer for straight line printing but can use from paper tray.

Solid small business printer
December 3, 2012
By stumpjumper from Mancos, Colorado
I bought this printer for the large format capability and the duplexing. Both features work well and I like the larger paper tray capacity. Color saturation is not a vivid as I would like for the graphics I print. Copying, scanning and fax features work well. The XXL ink cartridges last fine, but the standard XL cartridges really only work for occasional printing.
