Great Personal Printer

I have used Brother products for 5 years now and I love every one I have purchased. Brother printers give you excellent quality printing, the IT people love them, and the ink products are reasonable. The scanning is so easy to use and you can even manage your documents with the software provided. Overall best deal in printing for the money. I own a business and use Brother for all my printing needs.

Making the switch to Brother was a great decision

I purchased the MFC-J825DW to replaced an HP Photosmart C309. Thus far it has performed very, very well. The scan function is much better than expected and I use it frequently. I received assistance for the scan setup from technical support in a timely and professional manner. I am especially pleased with the wireless capabilities and other features which are much better than the product I replaced. Order handling directly from Brother was timely. Very good value for the price.

PIECE OF JUNK

I am very unhappy with this product. I bought it to use for my at home business where I need to print photo quality prints on a daily basis. The paper jams more often than it does not, especially for paper that is thicker than regular printer paper. This is unacceptable for a printer that is marketed as a photo printer. So far, technical support as been more of a head ache than a help and has offered not help or support that has corrected and resolved the problem. I do not recommend this printer.

Awful customer service

After 3 weeks of use I had to replace the black cartridge. Not unexpected but after doing that one of the color cart had to be changed, then another and another. So after replacing all catrs with new Brother carts it still would not print, not a single page from the day the black was replaced. Customer service at Brother repeatedly said the problem was low ink even after replacing all of them. I guess they wanted me to go buy more ink. This printer was bought direct from Brother and after talking with CS supervisor I still got no relief. Took the thing to the recycle bin and will never consider a Brother product again. Going with an Epson and hoping for better luck.
