Bulky but sturdy, draws power but reliable. Since recent online update have had problems so have to reinstall drivers. But the pages spit out in rapid and reliable succession. Front feeder a bit unwieldy but works ok. Paper is kept inside machine so dust is not a problem. Brother replacement cartridges are very reasonable so I recommend the brand. We have two other Brother products, all reliable. We previously had another product that lasted years.

The Brother HL-5450DN Network Laser Printer has performed flawlessly from the moment I opened the box and plugged it into my network.
It is quiet, fast, and produces excellent quality output. I have no complaint about it whatsoever, and would recommend it without reservation to a friend.

Only had the printer for a few days now, but have no complaints whatsoever. Print quality is great, printing speed is great and setup is super easy. Would recommend this printer to anyone looking for a nice, clean looking compact printer for everyday use.

replaced a 5 year old laser brother printer because this is less expensive than buying a drum and toner -- can't say enough about the brother quality and dependability AND easy set-up on a Windows 7
