Integrating with popular Microsoft Word®*/Excel®* and Outlook®*
Creating Labels by integrating P-touch® Editor with Microsoft Word®* / Excel®* or Outlook®*. (Example shown using P-touch Editor V5 for QL-570 and QL-1060N. This feature is also available for models QL-500, QL-650TD and QL-1050 using P-touch Editor V 4.2 )
It is easy to use the Software add-in feature to create labels.
Below is an example* of how easy it is to create labels using Microsoft Word®. It can be as easy as: HIGHLIGHT, CLICK and PRINT.

Step 1: Open the relevant application document and select the text to appear on the label.



Step 2: Click on the P-touch® Editor Add-in button in the top toolbar.



Step 3: Click print

Creating Labels by integrating P-touch® Editor V4.2 with Microsoft Word® / Excel® or Outlook®. (For models QL-500, QL-650TD, QL-1050 and QL-1050N.)
What are the software add-ins? The Add-in feature in the Brother P-touch® Editor software makes it exceptionally fast and easy to create and print a label directly from the Word®, Excel® or Outlook® programs you use every day on your Windows® PC.

Brother’s Add-In software automatically formats the label, provides a preview of the label on-screen exactly as it will look when printed, checks to make sure it is the correct information on the label and, at when the user specifies - prints that label through your Brother Label Printer.

It’s really that simple.

What is the benefit of having the Microsoft Word®/Excel®/Outlook® Add in? The Add in feature makes it easy to create labels using information already from Microsoft Word®/Excel® or Outlook® without having to recreate it. This provides convenience and helps save time.
Which models offer the Microsoft Add-in feature for Word®Excel®/Outlook®? All Brother Label Printers can integrate with Microsoft Add-in feature using P-touch® Editor Software.
It is easy to use the Software add-in feature to create labels.
Below is an example* of how easy it is to create labels using Microsoft Word®.

Step 1: Open the relevant application document and select the text to appear on the label.



Step 2: Click on the P-touch® Editor Add-in button in the top toolbar.



Step 3: Click print



Step 4: Brother Label Printer prints out label



Step 5: Peel label of backing and stick label to the required item.
