    great purchase
However I'm still learning how to cut. I purchased it mostly to cut fabric shapes that I can scan. I've tried to get the scan n cut canvas people to recognize me but they don't like any email or password I've given them and they will not contact me. I'm a retail fabric store and would like to sell these when I get successful at cutting fabric.

    Great Purchase
I was looking for a machine to help cut my quilting fabric and found the CM550DX ScanNCut machine. I went ahead and bought it. It was the greatest purchase I made. I loved the fact that you can cut perfect Quilting squares, Triangles or whatever shape you need to quilt with. I went ahead and purchased the 12 x 24 inch matte and am now able to cut larger quantities and sizes of fabric quilt blocks/patterns needed. Greatest Purchase in my quilting hobby.

I am new to this machine!
The machine works pretty well on the few projects I have tried. I have experienced difficulty cutting fabric, but I only made one attempt. The only place to buy supplies is at the sewing store and their stock is limited. I usually go to the other two craft stores. This is a drawback. However, I owned a Cricut and did not like the expense and limitation of having to buy the cartridges and being limited to the cartridge content for that machine. I do like the ScanNCut canvas and would like to see ... read more more projects there.

    Great Way to be Creative
This was a gift from a friend who thought it would be an opportunity to be even more creative with my sewing and quilting. It fits the bill on that. I am also going to delve into card making - slightly. I love this machine, although I haven't had enough opportunity to play with it. I've done a little bit of appliques and card making with it. I also drew seam allowances and cut some simple quilt blocks with it. I have no complaints, but do need to experiment more, especially with the ... read more pre-treatment of fabrics.

Nice machine, but I need more in-depth training!
I purchased this about a month ago, because I wanted to use it to scan sewing patterns for purses and cut out the fabric. I am having a difficult time trying to do this. I thought since it did doll patterns, it would work for regular size patterns that would fit within the mat. I'm sure it can be done, but I can't figure it out. I am hoping there will be a class soon at the place where I purchased it. I haven't been given a time frame yet.

A Great Machine! I LOVE IT!!!!
This is a wonderful machine! I love everything I have been able to make with it. of all, I DO NOT always HAVE TO BE CONNECTED TO A COMPUTER AND INTERNET to use it. This is agree feature. I just cannot say enough good things about it. Very easy to learn and use. This is a really powerful machine that I would recommend to someone looking to buy a cutting machine to cut their own designs, stamped images, downloaded SVG files, or printed images. With this machine's free software you ... read more can truly design and alter images. It does more than resize and weld. You can actually make real changes to shapes. I am so happy I own one! This has been one of my greatest crafting machine purchases I have ever made!

    Happy with this purchase
I an happy with my cutter. So far, I have only cut vinyl - both adhesive and heat transfer. I am probably going to need to replace the blade sooner than I expected. That is my only complaint about the hardware. The software is a disappointment, simply because of having to be online to use it. That is not always convenient.

probably the first PR100E embroidery machine
Have had my Brother scanNcut for over 2 years, and have not learned exactly how to utilize all that it can do. Just recently did a free upgrade to 1.80. I would really like a simple tutorial showing each step in plain language.

    so far
I was so excited to get this machine, but SO FAR, I have made a mess of the tacky sheets, and I think there should be more how to explanations in the manual. It did not come with a scanning sheet for photos and such, and SO FAR I have not attempted anything like that. I did cut out some card stock and it was good, but I have to go online and search for how to videos, maybe an idea book would be great for this machine. I am still learning, SO FAR SO GOOD>
