    LOVE this machine!
I had been looking for a cutting machine, and stumbled upon the Cricut. After spending countless hours and many dollars trying to get it to do what I needed it to, I gave up. Then I found the ScanNCut. It does exactly the cutting I needed, and more. There red are complaints about the mats not being sticky enough, but so far that has not been an issue for me. I work in many different mediums, and have cut paper, vinyl, stencils and cloth.

    Cuts amazingly
I used The Brother ScanNCut to make a birthday card and I was very pleased with the way it cuts. I did have to experiment with the type paper (vellum) to get the precise cutting level but practice makes perfect.

The Scan N Cut 2 works well, but not great. I was disappointed in how many extra accessories you have to buy separately. Also, the extras are hard to find and not inexpensive. On the bright side, it is very easy to use and makes decent cuts. It works pretty much as advertised.

The Brother CM350r is the right cutter for me! I have another cutter (think of a bug...) which requires a Masters in Rube Goldberg to format so when i got the Brother i was kept the box--just in case. I cut, i threw out the box! the software and the clear screen help made me look good. Two suggestions: Include the online access with the purchase--buying separately was inconvenient and not well explained. second include samples and suggestions on vinyl. I have gone through a "learning process" to ... read more get the right vinyl for the job.

    luv my new cutting machine
I bought this on hsn. payments are affordable. I use for my quilting. cuts r so precise and sharp. I hated cutting pieces because they did not come out right. I would like to add designs to this so I hope they come out with more designs to transfer to machine.

    so far
I was so excited to get this machine, but SO FAR, I have made a mess of the tacky sheets, and I think there should be more how to explanations in the manual. It did not come with a scanning sheet for photos and such, and SO FAR I have not attempted anything like that. I did cut out some card stock and it was good, but I have to go online and search for how to videos, maybe an idea book would be great for this machine. I am still learning, SO FAR SO GOOD>

    Having such fun.
My ScanNCut sat in it's box for 2 years. When I finally removed it from the box, I couldn't understand why it had taken me so long to use it. It is user friendly, does so many different types of things, and assists me in the cutting of my applique fabrics for embroidery. I'm just crazy about it!

    Great Purchase
I was looking for a machine to help cut my quilting fabric and found the CM550DX ScanNCut machine. I went ahead and bought it. It was the greatest purchase I made. I loved the fact that you can cut perfect Quilting squares, Triangles or whatever shape you need to quilt with. I went ahead and purchased the 12 x 24 inch matte and am now able to cut larger quantities and sizes of fabric quilt blocks/patterns needed. Greatest Purchase in my quilting hobby.

    Good purchase
This was one of the best purchases I have every made. This is just what was needed at the school my granddaughter attends to save time on cutting out paper items for the display board and for the students to use.

    Scan N Cut
So far, yes, I love it. However, I do wish there were more books out there that give step by step directions for projects, like scanning something in, I do think that its easy to use, but people who are not computer savvy are having a hard time. The manual is not easily understood for non computer people.
