Why is the tape separating?

1. If you pull on the tape during printing, the tape can separate. Do not touch the tape during printing.

2. If the tape is out of the tape guide, it can cause the tape to separate. Make sure the clear ribbon and the adhesive backing ribbon are under the tape guide, extended past the tape guide approximately 2mm. If the color ink ribbon is loose, use your finger to wind the toothed wheel in the direction of the arrow on the cassette.

3. If you install a new ribbon and the problem persists, your machine may require service.
