    Retired and learning new things
I purchased my Scanncut after retiring so that I could learn to do some of the things I've always wanted to learn to do. Sewing, embroidery, and appliqué was not what I originally had in mind when I purchased the machine, but when I saw the ScanNcut used with the Brother sewing machine I was sold. I'm still in the learning phase and simply love how user friendly this machine is.

I love it, but not as user friendly as I had hoped
I love this machine! It is sleek and does so many things. I bought it to make greeting cards, cut vinyl and to use with my PRS100 embroidery machine to cut fabric for applique. Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to do that yet. I called the store and they gave me some directions, but I guess I didn't do something right. I will go to the store and take a class on it. Overall, the machine looks and feels well made and cuts fabulously, there is a learning cure however to use it.

    Well worth the money!
Bought specifically because I could upgrade it to read PES cut files for applique, and the upgrade allowed it to scan N cut a 12 x 24 mat. Upgrade worked seamlessly and I love how it cuts. I have a lot to learn, but so far I am really liking this machine.

I love my Brother Scan N Cut CM550/550DX
IF I had found this page two years ago I would have written my review then. I love my Scan N Cut. I found this machine Via Julie Fei Fan Balzer informercial 2013 and HSN shopping net work in 2015. I purchased my machine from my local Brother dealer. I took it home and took it out of the box and started right away with it. I have been doing many different projects that that machine can do since then. I follow Julie through Brother scanncut designer page, you tube etc. I also read her daily blog. ... read more If you have not gotten one of these machines yet and you like to fussy cut or cut fabric or just cut things out then this is the machine for you. I use mine for fabric, paper and craft foam, stencil material etc. I have all the kits that are out now including the embossing kit. I could not be happier with my Scan N Cut.

    Best Scan n Cut yet
Love this new version of the amazing Scan n Cut machine! I have used the CM550DX at work to demonstrate to customers, (and to play with myself), but this is the machine I have at home. Connected to my wireless, I can design on Scan n Cut Canvas and load it to the machine. Such Fun!

    sNc2: the best $ spent!
sNc2 has been the best money we ever spent. I rec'd this as my Christmas gift and I've not stopped using it daily. I am a paper crafter & gave up detailed & fussy cutting a few years back due to visual issues. The sNc now has become my third eye, allowing me to do things I never thought possible. I'm loving the Canvas program as I can design on there, on my big computer screen, save to a thumb drive and then have the sNc do the actual work for me. I am looking forward to the drawing feature ... read more as I got the universal pen holder -- and I am so thankful to Brother for the updates, and the wonderful support team they have for us. I've called twice for assorted questions and right away got a human!!! And then the answer explained to me in such a way I could hang up and go create. THANK YOU BROTHER!!!

Great Addition to my Sewing Room
I bought this item when Hancock Fabrics went out of business. I've found so many uses for it. I've cut vinyl letters/monograms for my travel cups, a banner and custom drawn drink coasters for party favors. There is a bit of a learning curve, but you can get tons of help on YouTube. The downside is I can't buy accessories locally in Houston. I have to buy them online. I really like my Brother ScanNCut!

    Good purchase
This was one of the best purchases I have every made. This is just what was needed at the school my granddaughter attends to save time on cutting out paper items for the display board and for the students to use.

    so far
I was so excited to get this machine, but SO FAR, I have made a mess of the tacky sheets, and I think there should be more how to explanations in the manual. It did not come with a scanning sheet for photos and such, and SO FAR I have not attempted anything like that. I did cut out some card stock and it was good, but I have to go online and search for how to videos, maybe an idea book would be great for this machine. I am still learning, SO FAR SO GOOD>

    luv my new cutting machine
I bought this on hsn. payments are affordable. I use for my quilting. cuts r so precise and sharp. I hated cutting pieces because they did not come out right. I would like to add designs to this so I hope they come out with more designs to transfer to machine.
