    Brother scanNcut 550
So far I really like the 550 scanNcut by brother, it's just a matter of learning all the things you can accomplish with this machine. I have finished a 3-D project that goes in a shadow box, will use as a wedding/anniversary gift. Have also done some simple lettering using sticky back vinyl. Finished an applique of a lamb using white vinyl as the applique piece. Havel learned to cut my applique pieces using the scanNcut, saves an huge amount of time by having all the pieces pre-cut to place ... read more when needed. Well guess I really do like my scanNcut

I am new to this machine!
The machine works pretty well on the few projects I have tried. I have experienced difficulty cutting fabric, but I only made one attempt. The only place to buy supplies is at the sewing store and their stock is limited. I usually go to the other two craft stores. This is a drawback. However, I owned a Cricut and did not like the expense and limitation of having to buy the cartridges and being limited to the cartridge content for that machine. I do like the ScanNCut canvas and would like to see ... read more more projects there.

Really glad I purchased the Scan n' Cut 2
I really loved the features of being able to draw or trace just about anything, then scan and cut the image. I still need a little practice, but am sure I will get there with all the support videos available on line. I was able to make a wall hanging for my family reunion by using the applique method of cutting out the leaves. The picture shows only a few of them. I really have a lot of family. Using the Scan N' Cut really saved me time on having to cut each leaf individual.

    Nancy
I do love the ScanNCut! I have the 1st Edition in KY and the 2nd Edition at our Winter home in Florida. There are so many useful features but I wish it had more built in designs. The other thing is if I don't use it often, I forget how to find the edit buttons. It's always been a guessing game and wish that part was more user friendly. The icons on the machine aren't very clear as to what they actually do. A built in tutorial would be helpful. I take every ScanNCut class I can but until you use ... read more it regularly, I find it frustrating. I wouldn't have any machine though. All in all, I think the quality and versatility of the machine makes it a winner!

    Good purchase
This was one of the best purchases I have every made. This is just what was needed at the school my granddaughter attends to save time on cutting out paper items for the display board and for the students to use.

    Best purchase I've made
Works great. Cuts just like my 550dx. Use both to do big projects. No problems

    Great Machine
I only rated it good because it seems everything is going wireless now. It was perfect for the original use. It allowed me to cut on a variety of materials with ease. Instructions were easy enough. I liked the idea of scanning my own handwriting in the machine. I was so intrigued with it that I ordered the design and cut today. It looks as though this will fill my needs and wants. Thanks Brother!

    So much Fun
Not great at reading instructions..so I've been picking the brain of the demonstrators. Slowly but surely it's coming together, and I feel I have a good understanding of its workings! Upgrading files is easy, and the results are fantastic. LOVE LOVE LOVE my Scan n Cut for quilting.

    my scan and cut
I've been doing row by row....if you are familiar with the program, you know there are often myriads of pieces to have cut for applique. Getting a scan & cut has saved me some time & given me perfectly cut pieces for all the appliques needed. Now to take a "beginners" class so I can learn all the other things I can do.

My Scan N Cut experience so far
The instructions and machine are so user friendly. Have had great support and taken classes at Aloha Sew and Vac. We made projects using many products, so feeling off to a good start for a lot of time saving, perfect cutting and fun.
