MFC-9130CW review
March 8, 2015
By NealM1 from Mesa, AZ
Replaced an MFC 9440CN with this one. Too early to be sure, but goes through cartridges like pop corn. When printing on Photo Paper, the edges smudge and don't appear to be fixed. Other than that, easy to set-up and use.

Good small office machine
February 28, 2015
By Goldfinch from Central Kentucky
The MFC-9310CW was difficult to program and required several attempts with our Mac Mini. However, once set up, it has been satisfactory. The first copy is a little slow, but remaining copies ar faster. The color rendition is adequate for photos.

Brother WiFi is Trouble
February 24, 2015
By BostonBrent from Boston, MA
Brother printers have real issues with WiFi / home networking that may prevent you from being able to print at all. I have a 6+ calls into Brother's help desk. Brother is pointing the finger at my ISP, Comcast, which makes no sense. My wireless connectivity issue has gone on for over a month and I believe all problems point to a bad WiFi system (card) in the Brother printer. Comcast tells me they hear from several Brother users that have WiFi issues per week.

Worked, for a short time
February 2, 2015
By 9130CW from LA, CA
I bought this printer from Best Buy after a lot of comparison. I needed something that had good enough quality to be able to print pictures, and wanted a laser printer to avoid drying out ink and such. After a lot of comparison, this looked like the best deal. I used it for some printing and some scanning, but just after the one year point, before I even got the chance to swap out the starter toner cartridges with the ones I bought along with the printer for replacement, the thing started rebooting randomly (it was plugged into the same surge protector as my desktop, which was unaffected) and then one day says "printer error 02" and tells me I have to reboot it. No dice. I contact Brother, and the warranty has just expired so they tell me I need to have a local repair shop fix it. The repair shop says it needs a new main board, and that between the part and the labor I'm looking at the full cost of buying a new printer. I get that the warranty period doesn't last forever, but you would think that when you spend a lot of money on a printer that *should* last a long time that it would live longer than its warranty period. Maybe this case was a fluke, but my next printer will be an HP. Now I just need to see if anyone has a printer that fits these toner cartridges that I have no use for...
