SA125 1/4" Piecing Foot

For quilt and patchwork piecing with 1/4" or 1/8" seam allowances. Using the center needle, straight stitch position, the right front edge of this foot provides a guide for creating even ¼-inch seams for quilts, doll clothes and heirloom sewing projects. When using the left side of the foot as a guide, an 1/8-inch seam is created.

SA185 1/4" Piecing Foot with Guide

Genuine Brother® Accessory. Exclusively for centered straight stitching quarter inch seams on fine fabrics. Quarter inch piecing foot with blade for seam sewing. Accurate reference marking on 3 sides of foot for visibility and accuracy. Single hole foot prevents fabrics from sinking into feed dogs.

SA161 Adjustable Zipper & Piping Foot

Genuine Brother® Accessory. This foot attaches zippers and pipings easily. Its position can be adjusted exactly on the edge of the zipper/piping, avoiding the non-flat parts of them. It also presses the fabric with just the right pressure. Adjustable zipper foot for left or right seams. Adjustable guide to accommodate varying piping dimensions. Single stitch opening for accurate and perfect straight stitch creation.

Requires Low Shank Adapter for ULT Series, PC-6500, PC-8200 and PC-8500 sewing machines.

SA109 Binder Foot

Genuine Brother® Accessory. Attaches bias tape with widths less than 7 mm (1/4 of an inch) using straight, zig zag or decorative stitches. The design of this foot will place your ready-made bias tape or will fold and place precut bias strips correctly for easy sewing to the edge of a fabric

SA134 Blind Stitch Foot, 5mm

Genuine Brother® Accessory. A great foot for both embellishing and utility use. Adjustable for creating blind hems on a variety of fabrics. While designed for blind stitching, the foot works well for edge stitching, lace and fabric edge joining.

SA141 Braiding Foot

The adjustable guide on this foot offers perfectly centered hands free placement of cords, ribbon, braiding, or tape up to 7mm in width.

SA144 Clearview Foot, 5mm

Clearview Foot is used with any application where visibility of seams or pattern markings is desired for ease in embellishment.

SA128 Concealed Zipper Foot

Genuine Brother® Accessory. Parallel grooves on the underside of foot hold a concealed zipper in place for easy installation of the zipper.

SA148 Cording Foot, 3-groove, 5mm

Genuine Brother® Accessory. Secure and apply cording in one step. Allows for the insertion of cords held by a notched clip with cords being stitched down using a serpentine zig zag or decorative stitch. Couch multiple threads with zig zag stitches. Flexible grooved securing attachment handles threads of varying thicknesses.

SA184 Edge Joining Foot

This genuine Brother® accessory is perfect for precise and easy joining of fabrics, even sheers and difficult fabrics. Hold fabrics in place while leaving a space to allow open decorative stitches such as open weave stitches. Reference marks to increase accuracy. Foot can be used to line up and sew edgings such as lace to edges of other fabric. Centered blade enhances ability to follow the edge of the fabric.

SA142 Fringe Foot

The Fringe foot is a good tool for creating 3-D flowers, heirloom seam joins, surface texture and custom trims with a simple zig zag stitch. This foot was originally designed and used to mark construction details by creating tailor tacking, so feel free to use it as a great marking too as well!

SA120 Gathering Foot

The Gathering Foot can be used for lightly gathering fabric as well as attaching the gathered edge to a flat (ungathered) fabric, at the same time quickly and easily. The gathering foot will allow the sewer to gently ease or slightly gather fabric for various garment and home decorating applications.

SA127 Narrow Hem Foot, 5mm

Genuine Brother® Accessory. The groove under the foot is slightly wider and flatter than the Picot Foot and is designed to create a flat narrow hem on lightweight fabrics.

SA122 Non Stick Foot, 5mm

Genuine Brother® Accessory. Designed for consistent feeding with fabric such as leather, vinyl and other novelty fabrics. Non-stick foot glides over difficult fabric surfaces with ease improving stitch quality in many problem fabrics (some fabrics may bind under metal feet often causing problems in consistant feed resulting in poor stitch quality). The non stick foot overcomes problems with fabric such as loop and hook tapes, leather and vinyl. Similar to standard J and Clear-view feet.

SA146 Open Toe Foot, 5mm

Genuine Brother® Accessory. Open toe foot for 5 mm feed dogs on vertical bobbin case machines. Open Toe foot is used with any application where extra visibility while sewing is desired. Use where visibility is important for seams with markings or curves and pattern markings. Wide opening for wide range of left to right needle positions.

SA147 Open Toe Foot, 7mm

Genuine Brother® Accessory. Clear plastic foot allows for sewing with complete visibility. Clearview foot for easy viewing of stitches, seams and pattern markings. Wide opening for use with decorative stitches. Horizontal opening for wide range of left to right needle positions and added sole pressure.

SA135 Overlock Foot, 5mm

The Overlock Foot is used for sewing overcast seams and protect edges from fraying. Use the overcast stitches in your machine and see what a difference this foot makes in their appearance and functionality!

SA149 Picot Foot, 5mm

Genuine Brother® Accessory. Roll fabric edge and hem stitch at the same time. Picot foot looks similar to narrow hemmer foot but is designed to create a shell look edge on lightweight fabric. Groove on sole of foot has been specifically developed to match width of picot stitches for perfect stitch formation. Groove on sole of foot allows stitches to feed evenly while being created and sewn.

SA162 Pin Tuck Foot, 5mm

Genuine Brother® Accessory. Sews corded pintucks on garment and home decorating projects. Pintuck foot for 5mm feed dog width. Secure up to 5 threads, vary pin tuck width by moving threads in grooves. 5 grooves on sole plate for precise formation of pintucks.

SA192 Piping Foot, 7mm

Designed for creating custom piping, for home dec and other uses. The over-sized channels in this 7mm snap-on foot provide more accurate placement of piping, and the wide needle opening allows for a range of stitch widths.

SA132 Quilting Guide

The adjustable guide can be used to sew parallel rows at preset even intervals. Slide straight bar into the hole of the presser foot ankle or walking foot (equipped with a mounting hole). The distance from the needle may be adjusted by sliding the guide from left to right.

SA190 Roller Foot

Perfect for sewing on vinyl, velvet, suede and leather fabrics. The dual rollers on this 7mm snap-on foot help provide for more accurate and consistent sewing, as the rollers work in tandem with the machine feed dogs to pull the fabric through, for a more consistent fabric surface. This foot has a wide needle opening, allowing for a range of stitch widths.

SA191 Stitch in the Ditch Foot

Designed for quilting and other projects that require stitching over an existing seam, this foot rides smoothly over the seam, helping to ensure your stitching remains more perfectly aligned while you ‘stitch in the ditch’. The long guide and wide opening on this foot allow for more accurate sewing and stitch placement.

SA108 Straight Stitch Foot, 5mm

Genuine Brother® Accessory. The design of this foot improves contact with the feed dogs resulting in more accurate and consistant feed which creates a higher quality straight stitch. Also used for straight stitch applications using fine or lighter weight fabrics where a wide center foot opening might cause the fabric to be pulled into the bobbin area.

SA107 Walking Foot, 5mm

Genuine Brother® Accessory. The walking foot is a moving feed system that holds and moves fabric between the presser foot's upper feed dog and the machines's lower feed dogs to better control difficult fabrics as well as multiple layers of fabric. The walking foot is great for quilting, sewing when matching prints or plaids or fabric drift is an issue.

Brother® offers several Walking Feet which differ in the size of the feed dog, shank height etc. Please check your manual or the machine listings on this website to find the correct Walking Foot to fit your machine. Walking Feet are not for use in reverse or side to side sewing as well as some built in stitches that include other than forward movement of the feed dogs.

Great investment
July 16, 2014
By John from Texas
For a machine that cost less than $100, this simple machine can pack quite a punch. I've now owned mine for six years and have never had an issue with it. I taught myself how to sew and now I sew daily, making quilts and other projects. It seems that there isn't a project too advanced or large for this machine...

Great Machine, however Operation Manual Lacking
September 15, 2013
By Ruggs from Mount Dora, FL
Best purchase ever. Simple to operate, light weight, and economical.
However the manual does not show how to remove the front cover. After some choice words for the Brother documentation department, I finally figured out how to remove the cover. Why is there always a trick or hidden screw to foil the owner from a minor operation? I am offended. The web site is no help, so where Brother dropped the ball I will step up to the plate. Hear goes: The page numbers are for the Operation Manual. Remove the three screws on the rear of the machine. Remove the face plate (see pg 39) and the shuttle cover (see pg 12). On the front side of the cover remove the lower screw and loosen the upper screw as seen when looking to the right. Now all the necessary screws have been removed but there is a hidden latch (the Trick I spoke of). In the middle of the crotch where the two clam shell covers meet push on the rear half of the cover at the middle of the joint. this will release the latch allowing the front cover to be removed. Now you have access to clean and oil many other parts. I scraped away the leading edge of the latch pawl so it would be easier to remove in the future. It serves no major function and if you want, clip off the offending appendage, it will make you feel better! God bless and have sew wonderful a day.

A Great Machine!
August 14, 2013
By MusicIsMyVoice from Pennsylvania
I bought this machine for myself at a local Walmart to teach myself to sew garments and other small projects. Five years later it is still working extremely well and I am completing difficult and large projects on it with ease. I did not require a large variety of stitches nor did I have a lot of money to spend so this machine was the obvious choice for me. Needles, bobbins and thread are easy to change and new bobbins are easy to spin. I would recommend this machine for any starting or intermediate sewist. I would not recommend this machine for a person who spends a great deal of time behind it all at once as it does get a little fussy after a long period of use. I've learned to defend against this with the regular use of compressed air to clean out little bits of such and such.
