Give a professional look to your next project with serged seam finishes. Seams lie flatter and look better with an overlock stitch. Home décor projects often suggest the use of a serger for rolled hems, secure seams and differential feed. Choose from a 3 or 4 thread look and enjoy the new and easy threading method. The 3034D features two needles and 3 / 4 thread with differential feed. Create stitches from 2.0 to 4.0 mm in length. The differential feed ratio of 0.7 – 2.0 gives improved stitch quality and the free arm makes it easier to sew sleeves, trouser legs and other hard to reach places.

  • Color-coded guides for easy threading
  • Free-arm to access hard-to-reach areas
  • Differential fabric feed for better stitch quality

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Angry Customer - Worst Sergers I've Ever Owned I purchased a couple of these in the last year for our business and they are the worst sergers We've ever owned. First one went out after 5 mo. after countless needles breaking (61 in two weeks to be exact going through the ones that come with it as well as schmetz ones that are recommended on the manual) two tune up attempts - which is ridiculous in that amount of time, and then figuring out that the protective casing on the face plate was broken which started sucking all the fabric into the machine everyone you use it. Come to find out you are NOT able to order that part anywhere the only place available was in CHINA. Such a waste of money. A Second went out at 7 mo. Just a few days ago. Metal inside rubbing together and keeps breaking needles AGAIN as well as stripping the thread over and over. Brought it to the shop for 3rd time and it's completely defective they suggest getting a new one. Would never recommend this product to anyone - I was referred by a friend who is now having the same issues after a little over a year. These machines were part of our families lively hood and we depended on them. By far it's been the biggest waste money. Back to Singer it is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good serger I've had a serger in the past that was difficult to thread and maintain a consistant seam. This serger is less complicated and I really like the results. I actually sewed a replacement out door umbrella top with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Serging made easy I did my homework before buying this serger, and am glad I did. It is so easy to use, and YouTube has tutorial videos to help new users. The instruction manual and controls are easy to understand. I use the serger for garment construction and crafts, and now I don't know how I used to get along without it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad I got this serger. Easy to thread and use. I was new to to using a serger but made a pair of size 2 boy shorts in about one half an hour. So easy and quick when sewing with a serger. I also sewed a same size shirt with the serger. So much faster and easier. I like using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally Bought a Serger I reviewed lots of sergers -- very inexpensive ones to very expensive ones. I settled on the Brother 3034D because if I didn't like it or got bored with it, I wouldn't be upset over wasted money because it wasn't expensive. I wasn't upset and I didn't waste money. This is a good starter serger and once you get the hang of it, you will be surprised how fast it is and how capable. Now I have both my sewing machine and serger out on the table ready to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brother 3034D serger This is my first serger. I was a bit nervous about using a serger because I had heard that they were touchy and difficult to thread. This serger is easy to thread with the color coded diagram in the machine. The quality of the stitch is good and stitches can be adjusted. There is also an open arm for ease of sewing sleeves. I am using the machine mostly for clothing construction.
